Apple has created a microsite designed to assist app development when designing software for iOS 7. Featuring a collection of videos, documents, and whitepapers, this is targeted for app developers to accommodate existing designs with the new graphical look of iOS 7. There is also a push to focus on creating a new user experience.
This central location offers tutorials and explanatory videos gathered from the iOS 7 Tech Talks series that were posted in December as well as information from its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) annual event last June.
Key documents featured on the site include iOS human interface guidelines, UI Design’s Do’s and Don’t’s, the ios7 transition guide, OS X Human Interface Trials and a ULKit User Interface Catalog.
Apple has created this microsite for developers so they have a variety of helpful resources to use when designing new iPhone apps as well as to refine existing products so that they fully embrace the changed visual language of Apple’s mobile OS.
Developers can access these resources at https://developer.apple.com/design. Continue to check PreApps for other helpful tips when designing or updating apps.
