the smart stay feature in some galaxy phones that keep your screen lit while looking at it is a smart idea, but its far from being a smart app, its laggy to say the least. but what if the phone does not need to see your eyes to stay lit?, what if there is an app that simply map what's on your screen to figure out what your doing, if it sees a full screen texts it says lit, because why would your screen be in full screen text if you are not actually reading it? same goes with full screen videos. how ever ,if your screen is simply showing home icons or lets say a picture, thats not something you stare at for more than 30 seconds . in summary: this app decides when to keep the backlight on depending on a number of patterns of what's shown on the screen ,rather than on your face.
