Stroid is a retro-synth space shooter for iPhone® about destroying hazards from the outer orbits of increasingly alien planets. Players navigate thirty exospheres, attempting to clear each of dangers, whilst avoiding satellites and collecting ore for upgrades and power ups. Stroid isn't a frenetic space shooter, but something that could be called gentle arcade, demanding forethought to navigate tricky levels but also possessing a hypnotic quality with it's kaleidoscopic visuals and audio.
In March 2014 Matt Sawrey decided to make a game. One Unity3D download, many online tutorials and countless frustrating evenings later and he's done just that with Stroid. Following on from Stroid he's decided to make a space in which to make more games with collaborators - a Little Log Cabin. This Little Log Cabin is currently occupied by Matt Sawrey and Stephen Lomax. Matt's busy releasing Stroid and together they're plotting out a new game.
