Mubu is a new iPhone app that does more than share your music interests: it collages the album art of all your favorite artists into one spectacular image. Imagine that! One glance at a Mubu collage will expose you to all of someone’s music tastes—at least within the past month. You could use Mubu to guess whether you and your crush are compatible, or if there are opportunities to rag on a friend for their horrible taste in music.
Whatever the case may be, Mubu is a fun way to construct your own music identity with your favorite albums, artists, and songs. These images can be saved and shared on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. The app itself is simple and easy-to-use, with graffiti-style graphics that give the app a crisp and casual feel.
You can narrow your search to music played in the past day, or broadened to the past month, with the least to most played albums strategically arranged by size—the bigger the image within the collage, the more you’ve listened to it. It’d be interesting to see what albums were played in the past year, too—kind of like a highlights reel for your personal taste in music.
Mubu is free, and comes to the App Store on January 29th, 2015. Get notified when it comes out, here.
