On October 22, Apple released the new iPad Air. However, many were disappointed when the company failed to release the new iPad Air Keyboard Case designs along with the new product. Today, Logitech – the creators of some of the best iPad keyboards – is revealing its first three keyboards that they’ve designed for the iPad Air: the FabricSkin Keyboard Folio, the Ultrathin Keyboard Folio, and the Ultrathin Keyboard Cover.
The FabricSkin Keyboard Folio and the Ultrathin Keyboard Folio are both Bluetooth keyboards, water-repellant, and the batteries are estimated to last up to 60 hours. The keyboards are integrated into a case that also forms into a kickstand to support the back of the iPad Air. The Ultrathin Keyboard Cover, unlike the Bluetooth covers, only covers the front of the iPad Air and is made of aluminum, rather than fabric, to compliment the iPad Air’s body. However, much like the Bluetooth covers, it has a built-in slot to prop up the iPad Air while the keyboard is in use, the same battery life, and iOS-specific hotkeys. The layout to the Ultrathin Keyboard Cover is similar to other iPad keyboards, except this one is lighter and thinner.
All three of these keyboards have new features, but they are all merely upgraded keyboards of other tablets, including the iPad mini and the Galaxy Tab 3. The FabrickSkin Keyboard Folio is available for $149.99, while the Ultrathin Keyboard Folio and the Ultrathin keyboard Cover are both available for $99.99. Logitech predicts that those who plan to work and write with their iPads will best use these new keyboards.
