Apple is beginning a new habit of launching their new developments simultaneously. First, they launched both the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5c at a special event on September 10. Today, just hours before the iOS 7 was unleashed to iPhone, iTouch, and iPad users in PT and ET time zones, Apple released iTunes 11.1. This upgraded version of iTunes now comes with many new features, including another one of Apple’s most recent inventions, iTunes Radio – a new music-streaming device available with the iOS 7. iTunes Radio, similar to Pandora, provides over 250 personally customized music stations based on your favorite artists and genres.
If you’re an iTunes user, you are highly aware of Genius and Podcasts, but now their release with iTunes 11.1 offers completely new features. iTunes 11.1 offers Genius Shuffle, an additional feature which will pull music form your iTunes library and create an enjoyable station based on your music collection and downloads. Genius shuffle is designed to create playlists of music that compliment each other. It’s a great way to put together songs for your next big party, a fun day at the beach with your friends, or even a road trip!
Instead of downloading various podcasts from iTunes, the new Podcasts Stations allows you to customize your own unique stations that include your favorite podcasts all on one playlist – even if they’re not relative to each other! Now your podcasts have the ability to automatically update new episodes, your subscriptions will remain in sync with all of your devices and they will also sync over to the Podcast app.
iTunes 11.1 requires the iOS 7 software update for you iDevices in order to properly sync music, movies and more to your iPhone, iPad, or iTouch. With your iOS 7 devices, iTunes 11.1 will also allow you to quickly and easily sync and organize your apps. Download iTunes 11.1 and iOS 7 today. Don’t miss out on all these great features – available now!
