completly pointless, connecting to more than one connections will only make it as fast as the fastest one, thus only wasting battery life

Not possible. There are multiple radios on your device which allow you to make calls, use bluetooth etc. The radio that makes the calls also makes the internet work, and it can't be used at the same time. So making 2 internet connections at the same time is not possible with phones that only have 1 cell radio.
