The popular phrase-prediction keyboard for Androids may be coming to iOS based on the image tweeted by @evleaks. However, it would only be available in the SwiftKey Note app since Apple does not allow developers to change the core keyboard or other software features.
This new keyboard could make typing that much faster on the iPhone, even if only in the note taking app. But if this app does become available for iOS, we may see the SwiftKey keyboard appear in other apps soon. Apple does not allow third parties to alter its native keyboard, but SwiftKey could still offer its keyboard to other developers. If other developers decide to utilize the keyboard for its prediction and improved correction features, then it could appear in many new iPhone apps.
There is currently one SwiftKey app available on the iPad, but it’s geared toward medical professionals. SwiftKey Healthcare allows doctors to quickly take notes with medical jargon. SwiftKey Note would apparently be a more universal note-taking app for iOS devices.
