Clickdrive, a new mobile device, will allow users to connect all driving apps and aftermarket monitors. This small black box would plug into an adapter underneath a users steering wheel allowing them to utilize several apps simultaneously.
Other market competitors do exist including Automatic and TechStars- backed Dash, however, unlike these Clickdrive’s major platform is that there device will allow users to run more than one app at a time. These could include those which monitor fuel emissions, engine performance and driving performance.
Since this device can run and download third-party apps on the device itself, it can continue to analyze and store data even after a smartphone has lost power. The Clickdrive will be updateable as well, so changes are expected to be made.
Clickdrive will change the type of new apps being released in the coming years as more of an emphasis will be focused on creating driving apps which are compatible with devices like Clickdrive.
