Good News from Microsoft for Windows 8 users!

October 2nd, 2013  |  By PreApps Admin

Microsoft is releasing Windows 8.1 software DVD copy on October 18 and will be available online for current Windows 8 users on October 17, but you don’t have to wait! Microsoft is accepting pre-orders so Windows 8 users may upgrade their product in advance online through the Windows store and for free! However, those who want to upgrade or install the product on a version older than Windows 8 or for the first time will be required to pay for the DVD copy – $119 for the Windows 8.1 and $199 for the Windows 8.1 pro. The prices are equivalent to the current existing upgrade costs.

Windows 8.1 will provide users with a complete copy that may be used as an upgrade, or fresh installation on hardware and virtual machine with no additional upgrading price. Check out some of the upcoming Windows 8 apps on the PreApps website. Many of them are free and will also be compatible with the Windows 8.1 upgrade.
